I haven’t owned a car (or flying saucer) in Chicago the whole time I’ve lived here so far (about 3 years). It’s been kind of nice – I save a lot of money and feel safe on trains and buses (in terms of the likelihood of my getting in an accident). I sometimes wish I could drive to the suburbs to see some of the cool things out there, though. Do any of you fellow city folk have tips and tricks for how to do that?
